When it comes to flooring, high traffic areas are hit hard. They are the first to show wear and tear and the most difficult to keep clean. It’s no different with factory flooring except that the high traffic is often forklifts and other heavy machinery. More importantly than how the flooring looks, because high traffic areas wear out more quickly, they can quickly become safety issues. That’s where V8 High Performance Floor Systems makes a difference.
When your warehouse or factory flooring needs to be strong and long-lasting, V8 recommends their 6.0 High Performance Epoxy System. Chemical and abrasion resistant, the 100% solids epoxy coating comes in several different applications for factory floors depending on your specific needs – 16 mil smooth, 60 mil textured, and 60 mil self-leveling. All three options are applied over concrete flooring in our two-step process.
Smooth Finish Options
16 mil – A medium mil application, this is applied in two 8 mil coatings. The floor dries to a high gloss.
60 mil Self-leveling – A higher mil application, Xtreme Engineered Floor Systems developed the self-leveling system using the V8 6.0 High Performance Epoxy for use where added durability is needed in factory flooring with a smooth high-gloss finish.
Textured Finish Option
60 mil Textured System – When a textured finish is needed for added traction and slip resistance on your factory flooring, V8 6.0 High Performance Epoxy comes in a 60 mil textured system. After the first epoxy coating is applied to your concrete floor, while it is still wet, industrial sand flint is broadcast across the floor. After a drying, the floor is vacuumed to remove extra sand, and a final epoxy coating is applied.
All V8 6.0 High Performance Epoxy Systems come in 13 colors and meet the USDA requirements for incidental food contact. If your factory flooring is beginning to show wear and tear, give V8 Flooring a call today.
