Factories and warehouses have a bad reputation of being big, ugly buildings. But this doesn’t have to be true! The right flooring can make all the difference for a more attractive space. A great-looking warehouse not only makes it a nice place to work, but also more appealing to investors and clients. Shiny new floors instantly upgrade a space to make it look clean and efficient – no one likes a business with dirty floors.

factory flooringThere are many options out there for warehouse and factory flooring, but truly the best option is V-8 High Performance Floors. Durable, long-lasting, and in a variety of bold or subtle colors, these floors bring a wow-factor to even the blandest of factories. Warehouse owners may be skeptical of spending the time and money to install the new floors, but with all the benefits of V-8 floors, the investment is well worth it.

First, V-8 Hybrid XT floors are easy to install, and often only take a day to be complete in smaller areas! And since no VOCs are released, employees can stay in the warehouse throughout installation, so work does not need to stop. The floors also come in a wide variety of colors, from bright and bold to subtle. A light grey or white floor makes it easy to spot dropped screws or other equipment, as well as making the often windowless spaces a bit more cheery. Consider indicating different areas of the warehouse with different colored floors! We also have our 100% Solids 6.0 High Performance Epoxy systems available which offer great abrasion and chemical resistance and perform well in larger areas.

V-8 offers a specific flooring option just for warehouses and factories that face literally tons of weight and abuse. The V-8 High Performance Epoxy is a smooth, high gloss, aesthetically pleasing industrial strength epoxy coating designed for medium to heavy mil applications. It is a two-part, 100% solids coating for concrete floors that face daily abuse from forklifts and heavy machinery. It has good chemical and abrasion resistance and comes in thirteen different colors.

The basic 16 mil system is applied in a two-step process. The first coat is applied at 8 mils or 200 sq.ft./gallon with a squeegee and roller. Once the first coat has dried (typically around 12 hours), a second 8 mil coat is applied using the same technique in step one. This will give you a smooth, high gloss floor.

For added durability, the 60 mil high build texture is a great option. An initial coat is applied at 16 mils or 100 sq.ft./gallon with a squeegee and roller. Industrial sand flint is then broadcasted to rejection in the wet coating. After the typical drying time of 8-10 hours, the excess sand can be vacuumed up and the clean surface can be coated at 14 mils or 125 sq.ft./gallon.

There is no better flooring option for warehouses and factories than the V-8 6.0 High Performance Epoxy.
