Moisture and moisture vapor pressure traveling through concrete can lead to many problems in all types of flooring. Prior to installing V-8 High Performance Floor Coating materials, be sure to test the floor using a Calcium Chloride Moisture Test Kit. The calcium chloride moisture test kit measure the amount of moisture passing through a specific point on the concrete over a 24 hour period (Important to note that tests only show conditions at that specific moment in time). Readings must be below 4 pounds before application of V-8’s Hybrid XT or 6.0 High Performance Epoxy. For reading over 4 pounds, our REV M.V.P. (Moisture Vapor Protection) can be used as a primer coat to bring the reading below 4 pounds.
