BACKGROUND: After many winters with a bare concrete garage floor, this Grand Rapids homeowner wanted a long lasting and easy to clean solution that could handle Michigan winters, constant traffic, and could be installed quickly. After learning of V-8 High Performance Floors, there were no other options!

Our Hybrid XT Vinyl Chip System is an industrial strength floor coating system that can also be installed in your home. At 60 mils thickness, it is designed to handle demanding traffic and hot tires. Our Hybrid XT resin’s formulation is UV stable, so it can be installed in direct sunlight and it will not yellow. This unique floor coating resin is extremely chemical resistant (handles road salt no problem!), easy to clean, and can be installed in just one day.

APPLICATION: Proper preparation of the garage’s concrete substrate is the most important step in any garage floor coating installation. The Certified V-8 Installer prepped this garage floor by shot blasting, and hand grinding the edges and step. After surface prep, the joints were filled with a flexible polyurea, and any cracks and damaged areas were prepped and patched. The four coat V-8 Hybrid XT Vinyl Chip System (V-200) was installed for a long lasting seamless garage floor that will not yellow and can handle years of traffic and abuse. Fo safety, the front of the steps were highlighted in safety yellow using V-8 Line Stripe.

This Grand Rapids garage floor coating was prepped and installed in just one day. It was able to be back in service the next day.
