BACKGROUND: This West Michigan manufacturing company recently built a new state of the art facility. They chose our Certified V-8 Coating Installer as their concrete polishing and floor coating contractors for this project. The project included polishing the concrete in their main manufacturing areas and hallways, installing a decorative and easy to clean floor coating in their cafeteria, and seamless floor coatings in several bathrooms.

APPLICATION: To minimize downtime in the bathroom, the architect specified our V-8 Hybrid XT resin to install our decorative vinyl chip floor coating system. The Hybrid XT resin allows us to install all 4 coats in less than a day getting the bathroom back into service quickly!

Before installing our V-8 High Performance Floor Coating system, they properly prepped the concrete substrate. This included diamond grinding to provide a suitable profile for bonding, filling joints with our JF-75 polyurea joint fillers, and patching any cracks and areas with our epoxy patching materials. After prep, the experienced crew was able to install all 4 coats quickly. Our V-Cove was also installed to provide an easy to clean seamless surface that goes 4″ up the wall. This keeps any water or other liquids from penetrating behind the wall.
