BACKGROUND: The concrete in this Holland Michigan garage was left unprotected and unsealed for years. It had oil and salt stains from leaking cars and Michigan winters. Wanting an easy to clean, and durable floor that will last, this Holland homeowner called our local V-8 Installer for their floor coating recommendation.

APPLICATION: The Certified V-8 Installer prepped this Holland garage floor prior to installing the V-8 High Performance Floor Coating by diamond grinding, and then shotblasting. This process gives the garage floor’s concrete substrate the best profile, and dust free surface for bonding and penetration of the coating.

V-8’s Hybrid XT Vinyl Chip System was installed in 4 coats giving the floor a durable, yet easy to clean finish. The joints were left open in this Michigan garage to allow for movement of the substrate without cracking. Michigan winters and road salt are no match for this flooring system! The finished surface is extremely chemical resistant, not only to road salt, but also common garage chemicals like oil and anti-freeze.

By using V-8’s Hybrid XT resin, this Holland garage floor now has a coating that is UV stable, flexible, easy to clean, has no hot tire pickup, and is durable.
