Seamless food & beverage plant floor coating
West Michigan
BACKGROUND: This large project at a new facility for a West Michigan food manufacturer required a coating contractor capable of tackling a large project, and completing it on a strict deadline without sacrificing quality. The finished concrete floor needed to meet USDA requirements for incidental food contact, be easy to clean, handle aggressive cleaning, and hold up to the abuse of a busy manufacturing facility.
APPLICATION: Xtreme Engineered Floor Systems helped to specify a resinous floor coating system specifically made for this West Michigan project with the project architect. The floor was shotblasted for an aggressive texture for the 6.0 High Performance Epoxy to bond to. Around the outside of the floor, 4″ radius V-Cove was installed. This creates a seamless basin in the area that is extremely easy to clean. A solid color epoxy system was installed using industrial strength V-8 High Performance Epoxy. After the epoxy, our Magnum Urethane Topcoat was installed for a matte finish which adds durability, scratch resistance, and a slight texture for slip resistance. Our V-8 Line Stripe was utilized to create a rat run line marking around the perimeter of the floor / walls.
